Irish Fiddle, taught by Sarah Blair

IRISH FIDDLE

For fiddlers of all ages and backgrounds

Taught by Sarah Blair

Sunday, March 17, 1-2pm

Base Fee:  $25

What makes Irish fiddling sound “Irish?” You will learn a tune and specific ornaments, bowing patterns, and rhythms that will help you play it in an Irish style. We’ll talk about ways to apply these to other tunes as well.

Sarah Blair has played traditional Irish music on the fiddle for 30 years. She has played and taught at concerts, festivals, and dances from Alaska to Florida. She loves teaching fiddle to folks of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to classical violinists who are interested in the Irish style.
