CREATE, CONNECT, CELEBRATE
The Grange Hall was built gather in. Its history is rich with the flow of ideas, creative endeavor, shared experiences, acts of community service, and celebration. As the new owners, we are excited to continue the building’s long tradition as a community gathering place for art, culture, work, and recreation as we embark on a effort to update the facility for its sustainability in the twenty-first century.
We believe our community will benefit from such a place, and, with its help, we are in the process of renovating this humble but glorious structure incrementally in the years ahead. Included in the plans is a dedicated “black box” performance space in the upstairs hall for the presentation of theater, music, dance, lectures, exhibitions, and film. It is designed to be multi-purpose to accommodate a variety of other community and celebratory activities. Downstairs holds a catering kitchen and green room area, as well as a multi-purpose gallery for exhibition, workshops, classes, meetings, smaller performances, community dinners, etc.
The Grange Hall Cultural Center presents its own arts programming, and also works with non-profit efforts whose missions align with ours to help those efforts grow. The building is also available to businesses, community members and groups, to rent for their own events, meetings, classes, and celebrations.
