The workshop will be suited for all instruments, but geared towards the fiddle tradition. All levels of players welcome. Non-musicians interested in the Irish musical tradition, are also invited to attend. All will be provided with a recording of the tune to take home.

Annabel runs The Vermont Music Center in Waterbury, where she also teaches classical violin and Irish fiddle. The Music Center rents practice rooms to students, bands and music teachers.

Annabel began piano at five years old, and violin at seven. Her father is a pianist and conductor, and provided her with a rich musical education. She began playing Irish traditional fiddle Keven Burke, twenty-five years ago. She tries to take in the context of music as she finds it, appreciating the way it moves and transforms over time, and place.

She emphasizes technique, and musicality regardless of skill level. She teaches both in the classical and Irish tradition by ear, and uses sheet music as needed. She usually leads at least two student groups per semester, including one Irish Traditional group. She helps her students with all aspects of playing, practice, and performance, on both electric and acoustic violins. She strives to provide a well-rounded musical education. She has a limited number of private students.
